PTFE lining for very aggressive liquids

The PTFE lined loading arm is especially designed for the transfer of liquids that are corrosive to metals. These liquids include acids and caustics like 33% hydrochloric acid, 30% sulphuric acid etc.

The loading arm is suitable for closed and open top (un)loading of road and rail tankers. Either with flange connection or cone. The closed system prevents the escape of poisonous and aggressive vapours.

Options for PTFE lined loading arms

The PTFE lined loading arms have a long reach and a minimum of 4 swivel joints. Consequently the arms have exactly the same freedom of movement as the standard Emco arms. The arms can be equipped with various interlocks to maximize operator and environment safety. Other loading arm variants including bottom loaders can be provided with PTFE lining.

PTFE lined D2000 swivel joint

The lined loading arms are provided with the robust and high quality PTFE lined swivel joints. This D2000 lined swivel joint is a variant of the basic form. It is provided with an internal PTFE lining and equipped with a special seal. This makes the swivel joint suitable for extremely aggressive products.

The ball track is encapsulated by two O-rings. Neither product from within (in case of leakage) nor dirt from the outside can reach the ball track. Should the main seal fail, leakage is indicated through the leak detection port. This port is PTFE sleeved, thus contact of product with carbon steel components is prevented.
