In the case of fluid transfer, chemicals are considered to be any liquid or liquefied gas (LPG, LNG), except for mineral oil and food products. That leaves everything from water to sewage, soap to sulphuric acid, asphalt to paint etc. Each specific product and each individual application requires its dedicated loading arm design. For this purpose the following loading arm options are available.
PTFE lining |
when (un)loading aggressive fluids like acids and caustics, suitable for top and bottom loading, with cone or fixed connection
heating systems |
for fluids with a specific operating temperature, available as steam/oil tracing or jacketing and electrical tracing
sanitary design |
when transferring food products like chocolate, whiskey or juices, with stainless steel products lines and FDA approved swivel seal material
piggable design |
for full cleaning of the product line by using a pigging system, with long radius elbows and smooth welding connections
control systems |
for easy and safe operation of the loading arms available as mechanic, pneumatic, hydraulic or electric configuration
quick release systems |
for automatic disconnection in the event a tanker accidentally drives away can be applied for top & bottom loading arms as well as for hoses
telescopic drop tube |
for submerged loading, to avoid electrostatic built-up or fluid foaming manually or pneumatically operated
overfill prevention |
to detect a product overfill situation during loading available as capacitive, vibrating fork (E&H) or pneumatic configuration
grounding device |
to avoid sparking between terminal and tanker during loading, self checking in case of breakdown or unprofessional connection
