Top loading "open"
The basic design of the top loading arm is used for the loading of non-emissive chemical products. It is applied for the top loading of road or rail tankers using the manhole, the so-called “open” loading. The loading arm has a long reach and is suitable for applications where the manhole cannot be accurately positioned.
Top loading "closed"
The arm is also used when a fixed connection during loading is required, the so-called “closed” loading. For this purpose the loading arm is fitted with 5 swivels to ensure full 3 dimensional movement at the connection point.
Connection with the road or rail tanker is made via flanges or a dry break coupler. In this configuration, the arm can be used for both loading liquids and collecting vapours.
The loading arm is provided with the robust D2000 swivel joints. Together with the precise balancing this makes handling of the loading arm very easy.
