Swivel joint D2000 PTFE lined

The Emco Wheaton PTFE lined swivel joint is a variant of the basic D2000 form. It is provided with an internal PTFE lining and equipped with a special seal. This makes the swivel joint suitable for extremely aggressive liquids. These liquids include acids and caustics like 33% hydrochloric acid, 30% sulphuric acid etc.

Seals and bearing module

The ball track is encapsulated by two O-rings. Neither product from within (in case of leakage) nor dirt from the outside can reach the ball track. The specially designed main seal guarantees a reliable and long life working swivel joint. Should this seal fail, leakage is indicated through the leak detection port. This port is PTFE sleeved, thus contact of product with carbon steel components is prevented.

The swivel joint is provided with a deep flame hardened ball race. This allows for high load applications. Like the seals, the bearing module is easy replaceable.

Materials

All carbon steel parts can also be made of stainless steel. The D2000 PTFE swivel joint is equipped with special flanges. The connection flanges for the pipes are included in the swivel joint order. These flanges are welded to the pipes and then PTFE lined as an assembly.
