How it works

The ASK coupling system consists of two parts: the male adaptor (tank unit) and female coupler (hose unit). Both parts have an internal valve that is in closed position when not connected.

The connection sequence works as follows:

• push the hose unit onto the tank unit
• lock the two units by rotating the hose unit 15˚ clockwise; the valves remain closed
• rotate the hose unit another 90˚; the valves will open and product flows

The integrated swivel eliminates the torsion load and eases the connection process. To close the valves and unlock the unit, the procedure has to be reversed.

Arta were the first to bring selectivity to the market. It prevents connecting the coupler to the wrong adapter and as such cross contamination.

Applications

Hoses and loading arms on the one side. Pipe lines, IBC's, tank trucks, rail cars, vessels and ships on the other side. The ASK is used wherever there is a need for safe transfer of fluids and gasses. Not only for pressure transfer, but also in case of vacuum conditions.
