Function NTS-SZ breakaway

De NTS-SZ breakaway or emergency release coupler consists of two non-return valves. A connection mechanism hold the two body parts together. When the hose or loading arm moves out of its safe working envelope a cable activates the lever of the connection mechanism. The two segments separate and the valves close both product lines instantly, eliminating the loss of product.

Advantages cable release type

The release cable runs through a slide ring on one of the body halves. This design ensures a 360˚ release angle. Separation and shut-off will be achieved at all times independent from the pull force angle.

The optimised cable release mechanism separates the equipment without the impact of high pull forces or bending moments. As such the NTS-SZ breakaway unit offers optimal protection for both the operator and equipment.

Non destructive design: no break bolts

In case of a separation no parts will be destroyed. The non-destructive design ensures a quick reassembly without the use of special tools and spare parts.

The NTS coupler range offers the highest volume rate at the lowest pressure drop available in the market today.
