Bottom loading and vapour recovery

This loading configuration is especially designed for the transfer of chemical products where vapour return is required. The bottom loading set consists of a single product arm and a separate vapour return arm. This combination ensures safe loading from ground level.

It is suitable for the (un)loading of road or rail tankers with flanged connection or dry break coupler. The loading arms have a long reach and are designed for applications where the tanker connections cannot be accurately positioned. The arms are provided with the robust D2000 swivel joints. Together with the precise balancing mechanism this makes handling of the loading arms very easy.

Improved design for easier handling

The tanker connection arm (B-length) is often fitted with heavy components such as ball valve or break-away coupler. This can make the loading arm difficult to handle. As a solution Emco Wheaton has designed a loading arm with 6 swivel joints and a parallel bar. This ensures that tanker loading remains a one-man operation.

The arm is fitted with 6 swivel joints for complete 3-dimensional movement of the tanker connection. This allows for tanker height changes during filling or discharge.

The parallel bar holds the tanker connection arm (B length) horizontal, irrespective of the primary arm position (A-length). This makes tanker connection and disconnection for the operator much easier.
